Concussion Clinic

We are pleased to offer assessment and care to members of the campus or broader community who have who have had a head injury and continue to have concussion symptoms limiting their ability to return to school, work or physical activities. The concussion clinic provides services one day per week at the UPEI Health and Wellness Centre located in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. Clinical care is provided by Dr. Gail Macartney, RN(NP), an experienced Nurse Practitioner with expertise in concussion care. Gail is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Nursing and member of the UPEI Concussion Awareness Program Team. Services include concussion assessment, education and individualized plan of care development. Opportunities will be provided for interested individuals to participate in ongoing UPEI concussion research studies.

Requests for consultation should be sent from family doctors or nurse practitioners to concussionclinic@upei.ca
